Well hello! I know this is so incredibly late and I have no excuse but I thought you’d all still be interested to see what I got a few months back!
Cost: $10.00 per month, $110 per year, free shipping
The rewards: Every review of a product you receive in your box, you earn 10 points. If you refer a friend and they use the link you send them, you get 50 points per person. In no time you will rack up 100 points which translates to $10.00 to use in the Birchbox shop. Only when you get 100 points do you get $10.00, if you have 60 points, you currently have $0.00 in rewards. You can earn as much as you can save!
So here’s the deal: “Each month, you’ll receive a selection of samples that we’ve tried (and retried) ourselves. We source our samples from both well-known brands and emerging gems. The women’s subscription includes everything from skincare to makeup, as well as fun non-beauty extras. The men’s subscription delivers top-tier grooming products in addition to lifestyle accessories ranging from hip socks to tech accessories.”
So again, Birchbox let us pick one of our samples but I didn’t pick anything because I wasn’t super excited about anything they were offering and I trusted my survey more to get something great! This box was super cute and I love the mint color! The theme this month was creativity!
My Box:
mirenesse Glossy Kiss in Perfect Kiss
Size: 1.5 g Value: $11
This is a pretty shimmery red so I don’t use it too often but it is pretty on certain occasions! It stays about as long as most lipsticks so it’s really nothing crazy special but for a lipstick aficionado *hair flip* I greatly appreciated it. This is also a pretty large sample, it is half the size which is good for Birchbox lately.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre
Size: 5 ml Value: $1.87
I decided to go ahead and give this a go and I now use it every night. I rarely wake up with dry patches on my skin or an extremely oily face. (I’m laughing to myself 1) how long this has lasted me and 2) how empty my sad tube looks compared to this photo.) It has a great texture that’s not too heavy or too light which is great for me! *I just read on the card that this is a moisturizer/primer/makeup remover! Super excited to try it for a primer and makeup remover!* Love this!
Oscar Blandi Dry Styling Heat Styling Spray
Size: 1.3 oz Value: $7.80
I haven’t really used this because I rarely heat style my hair but on the off chance I do, I reach for this. It smells really good so I don’t mind it in my hair! Plus, it’s up to 450 degree protection!
Origins Smarty Plants CC
Size: 0.17 oz Value: $4.25
I was most excited about this because on days when I don’t really want to wear makeup but I need a little coverage I always reach for a BB or CC with SPF. I like that it adjusts to my skin tone, it will work throughout the summer then! It also protects from pollutants which is awesome! I was looking at this a while back too! Definitely my favorite thing in my box!
TempleSpa Peace Be Still Face and Body Balm
Size: 25 ml Value: $3.63
This is a quite light scent and I really like the scent but really…another lotion. The scent is supposed to be very light and aromatheraputic which it is calming! It’s getting pretty repetitive to me, and no one else was willing to take it off my hands, I don’t really use lotion so this was not something I liked.
Total Value: $28.55
- mirenesse Lip Crayon – $11
- Embryolisse Moisturizer – $1.87
- Oscar Blandi Heat Protecting Spray – $7.80
- Origins CC – $4.25
- TempleSpa Body Lotion – $3.63
Overall, this was a pretty good box, I use the face moisturizer all the time and the CC is one I love but the body lotion really killed it for me and I don’t use the hair spray but that’s okay! I loved the design of the box and I’m very happy with the value of this box! If you want to sign up you can do that here (you skip the wait and I get a few Birchbox points!)
If you can remember, what did you get way back when in March? Did you get anything I got? Let me know!
