3 Can't Miss Winter Activities

With Winter arriving, there are tons of new activities to take part in to celebrate!  And even if you aren’t the biggest fan of the short days and cold weather, there’s a lot of ways to brighten your outlook on the season.  As they always say, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Since we can’t hibernate all winter, why not get excited about it!

3 Can't Miss Winter Activities

Take a walk in the snow, if it comes.  If not, bundle up in your warmest winter clothes (I’m talking cozy socks, layers on layers) and try to embrace the cold weather.  Even if you don’t love it after your toes go numb and your nose starts running, it’s better to try to embrace it.

Make your home the epitome of comfort and coziness. I just wrote a post all about hygge, the Danish term that entails a cozy environment with good company.  It’s hygge that has really put a direction to making my home so cozy for the winter.  The basics are plenty of blankets and candles, but read more on that here.  I’m getting into the winter spirit more than ever this year and every day I’m making improvements to my bedroom. It’s so cozy now, I love being in my room!

Have a baking day with friends can give you a lot of new memories. It’s so fun to settle in with a warm oven and some good (Christmas) music and friends.  Pinterest has tons of yummy sweets to make or you could put together a whole home cooked meal.  It’s special moments with friends and family that will block out the gloominess of dark days and cold temps.  This is one of my favorite things to do this time of year, get together with loved ones and cook up some yummy food!
