Quarantine Beauty Favorites

Now that I’ve been home about 6 weeks, I’ve gotten into quite a routine with my skincare and occasional dips into makeup. I decided right at the beginning that I wanted to make sure I put on SPF every day, did masks more often, and got some use out of my Glossier Futuredew. Here’s how I’m using all my favorite products lately.

Morning Skin

Every morning I begin my day by washing my face, brushing my teeth, and doing my skin care routine. I start by washing my face with the CeraVe Foaming Face Wash or Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to remove any oil that has built up over night and start with a fresh slate for the day. Which one I choose depends on if my skin is feeling more dehydrated or oily that morning.

Next, I take my Coppertone Naturals Sunscreen mixed with a dollop of Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops and warm the mixture up in my hands before pressing it into my skin. This Coppertone sunscreen is a mineral sunscreen that’s very white in color (I wouldn’t recommend this one because of it) so mixing it with bronzing drops helps warm up the ghostly white cast it leaves. I definitely need a mineral sunscreen without such a strong white color, let me know if you have any favorites!

Usually I’ll let that sink in for a few minutes and follow up with Glossier Futuredew. I think this is the perfect product for no makeup days because it’s ultra-hydrating and leaves a super dewy look on the skin. After this I slap on a thick coat of Aquaphor for my dry lips and finish up for the morning.

Makeup

While I haven’t been wearing makeup often, I have a few things that help me feel good when I’ve got a video meeting or am making a grocery trip. The Revlon Candid concealer has been a favorite the past month because it’s ultra-natural looking. It’s also full of antioxidants and blue light protection for all the screens I’m staring at. I recently was sent the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer and have been enjoying it so far! I mainly use that one for covering any blemishes and redness around my nose. The Milk one has a thicker consistency than the Revlon one and it’s a little more matte but overall comparable for a drugstore dupe. They’re both so easily blended and so natural-looking on the skin.

I’ve also really been enjoying the Revlon SkinLights Bronzer to bring some color into my complexion with a bit of a sheen. There’s no glitter in this, it’s just a powder that leaves that healthy, glowing finish on the skin. Concealer, bronzer, and Glossier Boy Brow is all I need to feel 10x better if I’m feeling particularly blah.

Evening

For the night time, I wash my face with the CeraVe Foaming Face Wash to get off oils and any makeup I may have put on. Next, I’ll drop about 4-6 drops of The Ordinary’s 100% Plant-Derived Squalane into my hands, warm it up and press it into the skin. This is one of the best skin products I’ve ever used because it hydrates my skin so well, wears beautifully under makeup, and is so inexpensive. I find it seals in moisture much better than Hyaluronic Acid which draws in moisture from other products.

Masks, Treatments, Etc.

I’ve been using the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask to exfoliate every few days and keep everything smooth. I also use the Innisfree Volcanic Clusters mask to clear out my pores. I’m also enjoying lots of sheet masks, especially from Innisfree.
