How To Get Through A Bad Day

We all have a bad day once in a while whether something happened that’s got you in a mood or you are upset for no reason.  The best thing you can do is to figure out how you can cheer yourself up, without relying on anyone else. Get yourself out of a mood with these tips on how to get through a bad day.

How To Get Through A Bad Day | Born To Be Bright

Take a deep breath, this is the first step you need to take.  This gives you a second to slow your breathing and get a bit of control over your emotions.  Repeat this until you’re feeling better.

Do something to distract your hands and your mind, this is the best tip I can give you.  Nothing instantly calms me down like drawing in my coloring book or doing a crossword because it distracts both your hands and your mind.  If your hands aren’t moving then your mind will wander and if your mind isn’t engaged then you’ll easily go back to what’s upsetting you.

Blast some music.  Make sure it’s upbeat and happy, the music that you can always rely on to lift your mood.  You can listen in your car, through ear buds, or have a full on dance party in your room.

If you have to, tell others you aren’t up for talking today.  There’s nothing wrong with letting you friends and family know that you’re having a bad day.   They would probably appreciate you letting them know before you lash out on them.

Take a bath or shower to completely clear your mind.  Focus on doing all the beauty treatments you can find: hair masks, scrubs, bath bomsb, face masks, and lotions.

Make a good meal with fruits and vegetables because when you give your body good food you’ll feel better.  Go for an ice cream if you want something sweet, but don’t go overboard because you’ll end up feeling worse.
