I always am so excited when I get the emails that I am in Influenster VoxBoxes. I haven’t bought anything from CoverGirl in years so I was thrilled to rediscover the drugstore-classic brand. I was sent all these products to review, but as always, all opinions are my own.
This VoxBox is for the CoverGirl Clean line that Zendaya is the spokesperson for (by the way she’s killing it). Included in my little box of happiness is the CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream*, CoverGirl Clean Matte Powder*, and CoverGirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balm in Punch* Cocktail. Sidetone: who is proud of me for not testing this lipstick until I took the photos, because the bb cream and powder didn’t make it that far.
Now I do have drier skin, but I can get shiny around my nose. I was shocked that they got the shade so right for me. I always love a bb cream, and this one balances my favorite (Maybelline Dream Fresh BB) by giving it more coverage and bringing the shine down. This on its own and dry skin aren’t best friends, but mixed with a moisturizer or with a hydrating primer and an exfoliator, it works.
I was slightly disappointed by this powder to be honest. It doesn’t really control the shine on my nose, which is the main purpose. There’s also pretty much no coverage, and the packaging is hard to open but gets easier with time. On the bright side, the mirror is really clear and I like the simple packaging. It’s a nice translucent-ish powder that wears well throughout the day if you’re looking for a natural (not matte) finish on your skin.
Lastly, the Oh Sugar! lip balm is a tinted vitamin infused lip balm. Punch is a red shade but it’s super sheer and moisturizing. There’s a ton of different shades and these are super pretty but I don’t think it’s a necessity…I am someone who practically drools when switching ultra-pigmented lipsticks though.
