Foreo Luna Play Review

I got my little Foreo Luna Play back at the end of May when I was on quite the spending splurge.  I knew I wasn’t getting on with my Clarisonic after not using it for a few months and I needed something to get rid of my flaking skin since traditional scrubs always made my skin sore.  KathleenLights talked about splurging on the Foreo Luna 2 in her VIB haul and it was on my radar.  After looking it up and my eyes popping out at the price, I got to work figuring out how to get one.  On the brand’s website, they had this new little guy called the Foreo Luna Play.  It’s kind of like a trial size of the sonic cleansing device.

The biggest cleansing device brand is Clarisonic.  The only thing in common these two brands are is the fact that they are sonic cleansing devices.  Clarisonic has replaceable brush heads costing about $27 every 3 months.  The brush heads have bristles unlike the Foreo.  The Foreo gently vibrates with the little silicone nibs but exfoliates/cleanses my skin like a boss.  I also feel like the Foreo is more hygienic without the bristles.  Every time I use it, I clean it with anti-bacterial soap so it’s ready to go for next time.

So this little one is not rechargeable sadly, but it lasts up to 100 one-minute uses.  It’s perfect for traveling because there’s no charger to carry around.  I personally love the size because it fits around my nose and under my eyes easily.

I use this almost every night and it gently removes the dry patches from my skin.  If I use this in the morning, my makeup looks incredible.  My skin is overall smoother and brighter since using this.  I wrote a bit about my Play in my second no makeup post.

Overall, I would highly recommend getting a Foreo Luna Play.  If you aren’t ready to drop the cash on a Luna Mini or regular, pick up a play from Sephora.  Give it three months and toss it out if it’s dead and you aren’t thrilled.  It costs less than a Clarisonic in the long run, and much favors sensitive skin compared to Clarisonic but gets the job done for normal and oily skin.  Although I got the Foreo Luna Mini, which is rechargeable, I probably still pick up the Play again for travel.
