I love a good houseplant. It’s one of my favorite things to look around my room and see 8 plants scattered about. I love little succulents and smaller plants because my workspace especially is pretty small so I have to accommodate. Whether it’s potted plants, an air plant, or a vase of flowers, nothing brightens a room like something living. My plants make me so happy so I thought I would show you some of them with a plant photo diary.
There’s something about the little stones and trinkets that makes all my plants that much more special. Beyond the bright green hues and pretty flowers, I scatter crystals from a shop by my house and other little things that brighten up the soil.
Whenever I’m feeling a little down, I get a new plant for my room and currently I have 8. I love finding something unique to put in the dirt with my plants to make them more special and personal. Being responsible for plants makes me feel more responsible for myself, keeping my space clean, eating healthy, and drinking lots of water just like my plants.
Finding unique plants that aren’t as standard is always extra exciting to me. I found one with soft white fuzz that’s so photogenic at a farmer’s market a few weeks ago. My tiny orchid with purple flowers really pops in the sea of white walls and green foliage. I have made my desk my favorite place to be with my plants and the little gems I decorate with. You can also spot my plants in the background of lots of posts, especially Lush hauls (here, and here), my post about Glossier (here), and my pep talk and drugstore makeup look. I hope you enjoyed my plant photo diary, and I hope it inspired you to pick up plants for yourself.
